Arrival and your welcome guide
You can use Opairly before you have an au pair. Start with Prepare together while talking to candidates. Once you know the arrival date, enter it in your household’s au pair details.
The arrival checklist
The family dashboard shows a countdown and preparation tasks, such as getting the room ready, arranging arrival and checking your schedule and practical agreements. After arrival, relevant follow-up actions appear too. Use the linked guidance and check arrangements with your agency where needed.
Manual ticks are a personal planning aid. They are stored on this device for this household and arrival date. This checklist does not automatically synchronise across all devices or prove that an administrative step has been completed.
Practical agreements and the welcome guide
Record everyday agreements in household settings, for example about pocket money, transport, guests and keeping in touch. Use the welcome guide for information your au pair needs on arrival. Review the text before sharing it.
Add Home and surroundings for the room, neighbourhood and routes. Create Routines for the moments you will practise together, such as mornings and the school run.
What your au pair sees
An au pair who has joined the household before arriving gets a welcome screen with the countdown, family and links to the schedule, house rules, neighbourhood and practical Netherlands guide. Create the household invitation in Settings. A candidate link does not grant this access.
Your tasks and rules stay when you prepare for a successor. Review which agreements still fit and which need updating. A new introduction publication is not automatically shared with your current au pair.
