Children
Opairly makes it easy to track which tasks belong to which child. Add your children in the settings and link them to tasks, so it's always clear who is being cared for.
Adding children
Go to Dashboard > Settings > Children. For each child, fill in:
- Name: the child's first name
- Date of birth: optional, useful as a reference
- Color: choose from 15 colors (red, orange, amber, lime, emerald, teal, cyan, sky, blue, indigo, violet, purple, fuchsia, pink, rose)
Each child gets an avatar with initials in the chosen color. If two children share the same first letter, Opairly automatically picks a different letter combination so the avatars stay distinguishable. This makes it instantly clear which child a task relates to.
Linking children to tasks
When creating or editing a task, you can select one or more children. The linked children appear as colored initials on the task card in the dashboard and calendar.
Use the child filter in the Calendar to show only tasks for a specific child. Handy when you want to review the weekly schedule per child.
Managing children
You can update a child's name, date of birth, and color at any time. You can also remove children, they will be unlinked from all tasks.
Only family members can manage children. Au pairs see the children on task cards and in the calendar.
