Can I start before I have an au pair?

Yes. You do not need an au pair or an arrival date yet. Describe life at home by voice or text, use the interview questions and prepare a sample week, expectations and your neighbourhood. Share a reviewed package with a candidate through a personal link, without them needing an account.

Can I record a morning routine?

Yes. Record or type how your morning works. Opairly proposes steps and, for Dutch input, English text too. You review the content and day variations, optionally add photos and publish the routine. You can then tick off the steps together.

Can we track our baby’s care together?

Yes. Parents and au pairs can log bottles with the amount consumed, wet and dirty diapers, sleep, medicines given and baths in the baby journal. Large buttons make it easy to use on your phone. You choose which children appear and can copy or share a daily summary with daycare.

What exactly is Opairly?

Opairly is a shared app for host families and their au pairs. You keep tasks, house rules, weekly schedules, hours and check-ins in one place, so you both work from the same information.

I manage everything through WhatsApp and notes. Why would I switch?

Agreements in WhatsApp disappear in the scroll and notes get lost. Opairly gives your household one current version of the schedule, tasks and house rules, so changes are easy to find and discuss.

Will my au pair actually use this?

Your au pair gets their own overview to see the schedule and hours, request leave and take part in weekly check-ins. Opairly works in Dutch and English, and their account is always free.

What happens when my au pair leaves?

Your setup stays exactly as it is. Tasks, house rules and schedules simply carry on. Invite your new au pair with a fresh code when you are ready.

Yes. Your data is stored in the EU, encrypted and fully isolated per household. Schedules and hours are not automatically shared with agencies, the IND or other parties. You decide what you export and share, and you can download or delete your data at any time.
