Settings

Manage your household, invite members, and adjust limits.

The settings page is where you manage everything about your household — from the name and hour limits to inviting new members.

Household settings

Family members can adjust the following settings:

  • Name — your household's name
  • Weekly limit — maximum working hours per week (default 30 hours, per Dutch regulations)
  • Daily limit — maximum working hours per day (default 8 hours)
  • Hour tracking — toggle hour limit tracking and visual warnings on or off
  • Free days — select fixed days off during the week

Inviting members

Each household has two invite codes:

  • Family invite — share this link with other family members. They will receive the family role with full permissions.
  • Au pair invite — share this link with your au pair. They will receive the au pair role with limited permissions.

Copy the invite link and share it via WhatsApp, email, or any other channel. If you want to invalidate a code, click Regenerate link — the old link will stop working.

Managing members

The members overview shows all household members with their name and role. Family members can remove other members (except the household owner).

Notifications

Both family members and au pairs can configure their notification preferences per type. There are three channels:

  • Email — receive notifications in your inbox
  • In-app — see notifications inside the dashboard
  • Push — browser notifications, even when the app is closed

See Notifications for the full list of notification types and how to enable push notifications.

Weekly check-ins

Toggle weekly check-ins on or off, and choose the day of the week the check-in prompt appears. When enabled, the au pair is invited to fill in a short reflection each week.

See Weekly Check-ins for more details.

Data export

Under the settings, you can download all your household data as a JSON file. This gives you a complete machine-readable export of your tasks, hours, rules, leave requests, and more — useful for your own records or as part of a GDPR data access request.

Danger zone

At the bottom of the settings page, you'll find options to leave the household or delete your account. Au pairs can leave the household; family members can delete the household and their account.
