Hour Tracking
The hour tracking page gives au pairs a dedicated place to log their daily working hours, split by category. Families can review the logged hours but only au pairs can edit them.
Logging hours
Au pairs log hours per day for two categories:
- Childcare — time spent caring for children
- Household — cleaning, cooking, and other household tasks
Enter the number of hours (in 0.5 increments) and tap the checkmark to save. Each day shows the total hours with a breakdown per category.
Weekly overview
Navigate between weeks using the arrow buttons. The weekly summary card at the top shows:
- Total hours for the week
- Breakdown into childcare and household hours
- A progress bar when compliance mode is enabled
Tap a day pill to quickly scroll to that day's entry.
Compliance mode
When compliance mode is enabled in settings, the page shows visual warnings based on Dutch au pair regulations:
- Daily limit — default 8 hours per day
- Weekly limit — default 30 hours per week
Progress bars change color based on usage:
- Green — within limits
- Yellow — above 75% of the limit
- Red — above 90% of the limit
A warning icon appears when a day exceeds the daily limit.
Auto-tracking
When auto-tracking is enabled, hours are calculated automatically from completed task durations. Auto-tracked entries are marked with a lightning bolt icon. You can override auto-tracked hours by manually entering a value.
