Weekly Check-ins

Structured weekly reflections between au pair and host family.

Weekly check-ins provide a structured way for au pairs and families to reflect on the past week together. The au pair fills in a short reflection, and the family can add notes in response.

How check-ins work

Each week, the au pair is invited to fill in a check-in with three questions:

  1. What went well? — positive experiences from the week
  2. What could be improved? — honest feedback on things to work on
  3. Notes for next week — anything to keep in mind going forward

The family then sees the au pair's answers and can add their own notes — creating a two-way feedback loop.

Weekly stats

At the top of the check-in page, a stats card summarizes the week:

  • Total tasks completed vs. assigned
  • Hours logged vs. the weekly limit
  • A quick overview to ground the conversation in data

Au pair view

As an au pair, you see your own check-in form for the current week. After submitting, you can still edit your answers. If the family has added notes, you'll see them below your reflection.

Family view

As a family member, you see the au pair's submitted check-in with their answers. Below the check-in, you can write and save your own notes — for example, encouragement, suggestions, or things to discuss.
